Origin and evolution

In February 2021, Elliot Wainman, known on social networks as "EllioTrades" and a content creator specialised in crypto and NFTs, launched SuperFarm, a platform designed to create and distribute NFTs without requiring technical knowledge. Simultaneously, the SUPER token was introduced as the governance and utility token of the ecosystem, implemented as an ERC-20 on Ethereum with a total supply of 1,000 million SUPER. The project was characterised by not conducting a presale nor allocation to venture capital funds, reaching its all-time high of approximately $4.73 in March 2021 during the NFT boom.

During 2021 and 2022, the ecosystem experienced significant expansion with the launch of Impostors, a social multiplayer deduction game with NFT mechanics inspired by Among Us, and GigaMart, an NFT marketplace equipped with advanced analysis tools. During this period, the development team opted to keep all development funds locked, exceeding the initial timeframes established in the project's tokenomics.

In 2022, Phase I of protocol decentralisation was implemented, introducing SUPER staking and the creation of the SuperVerse DAO. This structure allowed holders with staked SUPER to obtain membership and voting rights within the decentralised organisation.

The year 2023 marked a turning point with the rebrand from SuperFarm to SuperVerse, reflecting the project's expansion beyond NFT farming towards a complete Web3 ecosystem of gaming and digital assets. During this period, the token experienced its all-time low of approximately $0.07 in October 2023.

In 2024, SuperVerse managed to position itself in the top 10 GameFi projects according to CoinMarketCap, surpassing established projects such as The Sandbox and Decentraland by recorded activity. By this time, the ecosystem had integrated more than a dozen games within its platform. In January 2025, SuperVerse launched a Unity SDK designed to facilitate developers in creating blockchain-enabled games within the ecosystem with reduced technical friction.

How it works

SuperVerse operates as an integrated Web3 ecosystem that connects three main components through its SUPER token. At the centre of the system is GigaMart, an NFT marketplace that incorporates advanced analytics tools, social functions and cross-blockchain operating capability. Running in parallel is Impostors, a metaverse that combines social and gaming elements where players can own tokenised game assets as NFTs and earn rewards for their participation. Both platforms are built on Ethereum, though the protocol also operates on Polygon to expand its reach.

The SUPER token acts as the connection mechanism between these products and ecosystem governance. Users can stake their tokens to participate in the SuperVerse DAO, which grants them voting capacity on governance proposals and access to exclusive events and assets. Simultaneously, SUPER functions as a payment method for transactions on GigaMart, reward system within Impostors, and access key to NFT launches and premium ecosystem features. The protocol has plans to launch its own blockchain in the future. The initial token distribution followed a model without presale or venture capital allocation, reserving 25% of the total supply for staking rewards and 20% for the founding team with a 12-month lock-up period followed by gradual release over an additional 24 months.
